I am about to start student teaching and want to make sure I build meaningful relationships with all of my students. Where do I start?

What are we doing at a soccer field?
As a teacher, it is important to learn about each students' unique strengths and interests! As you learn more about your students, you will be able to make lessons that are relevant, engaging, and fun for them! For example, if your students love soccer, you could bring them to the field to combine soccer with a science lesson on force, acceleration, and velocity!

While there are many things you can do to build meaningful relationships, here are a few other things you can do: co-create rules and expectations with your students, incorporate families and the community into the classroom, and view every student from an asset-based lens!
