Mercutio steps in and fights Tybalt instead of Romeo. Benvolio is trying to diffuse the situation because of the penalty for dying.

Men stop fighting!
While Romeo stands in the middle trying to stop the fight, Tybalt stabs Mercutio by sticking his sword under Romeo's arm.
HAH! I WIN!
It can't hurt that bad
Ask for me tomorrow, and you shall find me a grave man!

After Benvolio takes Mercutio to a house to be treated, he returns to tell Romeo that Mercutio died.
Mercutio's dead!
WHAT! Tybalt shall pay for this.
After Romeo kills Tybalt, Benvolio tells Romeo he has to leave or he will be killed on the spot.
I'm a fool!
You have to leave!
Benvolio tells the prince what happened and the Capulets want Romeo dead for the consequence of him killing Tybalt.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Romeo shall pay!
He killed my cousin!
I know what happened.
The prince tells that Romeo's consequence is banishment and if he shall be seen again he will be killed
ROMEO IS BANISHED!
