The Intolerable Acts (the Coercive Acts) were punishments for Americans. These acts included four main ones: the Boston Port Act, the Massachusetts Government Act, the Administration of Justice Act, and the Quartering Act, which allowed soldiers to stay in people's homes. The Boston port act closed down the Boston harbor, making ships unable to leave. The government act made Americans unable to make laws.

The tea act was an act that taxed all tea and, it was very expensive so people had to make their own tea. The materials were still sometimes hard to come by, so people had to make "Libertea" and it means they used their own plants to make tea. During the tea act a group of Indians snuck on to a ship and threw several barrels of tea off board this was the Boston tea party.

The battle of Lexington and Concord was a battle between 700 British soldiers and 70 minute men at the front lines, but after the British got past front lines 2000 minutemen shot at the British from behind buildings. Before the battle John Hancock and Sam Adams hid but spies told them where weapons in Concord were, so they planned to seize the weapons.
