Ancient Greece was located in Europe. Their Civilization developed around 2000 BCE. Greece was very different from other ancient civilizations because they didn't have a main river, they had a main sea: The Mediterranean Sea. It limited their farmland because they had rocky mountains, no rivers, and not good soil, so farming was difficult.

Since farming was limited, they depended on the sea, so they became sailors. They sailed to far and vast civilizations because of the Mediterranean sea, and they traded with those civilizations. They also learned new ideas from trading with other civilization

The wall is too high!
Ancient Greece learned and developed new ideas, cultures, and even ways of life. One of the very important ideas they made was democracy.
Scene 6
CHARGE!
The Trojan War started when the Trojan Prince, Paris, went off and sailed with Queen Helen to a city-state known as Troy. The King woke up and noticed that Queen Helen was gone, and went against war with Troy.
The Greeks initiated a war against the Trojans. The fight lasted for around 10 years. The Greeks tried to conquer Troy, but Troy was protected by high walls, so Greece was unable to conquer.
The Greeks then had an idea. They built a giant wooden horse, disguised as a gift, while the Greeks would hide inside it. When the horse was surrounded by people looking at the huge horse, the Greeks opened the latch from the horse and attacked the soldiers and people. They ended the 10 year period of battle by winning, and they rescued Queen Helen.
