The Crusades
We shall get the Holy lands back and start a crusade.
Crusade After Effects
The catholic pope became the western Europe becoming the strongest political leader. The catholic church had created rules , the sacraments, being the system called the Canon Law. If any Christian were to not follow these rules they were to be excommunicated.
The Islamic people took control of the holy land, Jerusalem. So than the Pope had issued a crusade to get back the holy land. The knights had supported the pope and the church to gain land and wealth. Although the Christian knights won the 1st crusade, alter the Muslims took back the holy lands.
After the Crusade many good things were happening to the western Europe. The crusades had led to many people who learning and be more educated. There was also a cultural diffusion bringing many ideas into Europe. Feudalism had also declined, decreasing power of the church and the pope.
