In this scene, Aspin is convincing America to enter the drawing to marry the prince. This is important to the story because she would not have entered if it wasn't for him. This convinced changes the entire plot of the book.
Chapter 12
This chapter is so important to the book because it show's so many emotions. It show's how America is different and isn't as thrilled as the others but also shows her happiness towards helping others. It also is the reason the rest of the book even happens.
Chapter 18
This chapter is important for multiple reasons. First of all we meet Celeste who is going to be the main antagonist of the story. Then we also meet some adoring fans.
Chapter 24
This is important to the story because it causes America to feel as though she would be kicked out tomorrow. This is bad because she loses confidence in herself to win. This also is her and Maxons first big fight.
This is one of the most important parts of the story as this is truly when they know they want to fall in love. However it also leads to something else as she is not the only girl who got kissed by him. This does cause some jealousy in just a few pages.
You are the last ones left. The Elites.
This is important to the story because it lets America know she has to decide now if she is in or out. This also leads to the next book called The Elite. It also shows that Maxon is willing to see it through with America.
