Everyone gathers around the coffin the coffin at Uncle Henricks house.
Falling action
The Nazis invade Denmark and terrorize the Jews.
Resolution
When the Nazis stop Annemarie and they let the dogs eat most of the food that she was going to bring to Uncle Henrick.
When Uncle Henrick gets the handkerchief and uses it to fool the dogs.
The war ends 2 years later, and most of the Jews were taken to Sweden.
