We finally joined the Union!!!
This was the Battle of New Orleans in 1815. Andrew Jackson led these troops to victory.
36’30’ is the line. Above will be free states, and below will be slaves states.
James Monroe was elected president of the United States in 1817.
You are not allowed to have European Inventions.
In 1819, Alabama joined the Union.
I am voting for Andrew Jackson, even though he will not win because Henry Clay is in charge.
In 1820, the Missouri Compromise was formed. It was a line called the 36’30’. The states above the line would be free states, but the states below would be slave states.
In 1823, James Monroe announces the Monroe Doctrine, stating that European interventions any where in the America would not be tolerated and that America would be neutral in future European wars.
John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson both ran for president in the 1824 election. Henry Clay who was the Speaker of the House got to decide who won the election. He favored John Quincy Adams therefore he chose him as the President.
