  • In this scene Macbeth learns of Lady Macbeth's death. He then proceeds to reflect on life as being insignificant and give in to the sense of doom he feels over his life.Macbeth seems to have given up on his life.

  • In this scene Macduff reveals to Macbeth that he isn't women born because he is a C section baby. This means he is able to hurt Macbeth according to the prophecies. Macbeth refuses to stand down and he is ultimately killed by Macduff. Macbeth's fate is met.

  • In this scene Macbeth seeks out the witches to give him a sense of security over his position as king and for his lineage. The three apparitions that appear give him prophecies of his own. An armed head appears and tells him to beware Macduff. A bloody child tells him that no one born from a woman can harm him. The last apparition tells him that he will only be defeated when Birnam woods moves to Dunsinane castle. All these prophecies give Macbeth confidence in his position.
