We had to wait a whole 20 minutes for that bus and we couldn't even board it because it was full! Now we will have waited 40 minutes before we even step foot on a bus, and we still have to transfer to another bus before we even get close to home.
We will have spent almost an hour and a half on a ride that could have taken 30 minutes by car. We might as well have just walked home - we probably would have gotten back sooner!

But what about elderly residents and those with disabilities who can't walk home and depend on public transportation? How can they stand all this waiting?
I know. You would expect that a city as large and developed as ours would at least have figured out their public transit system by now.

The politicians in power probably don't use public transportation daily, so they likely don't know or feel passionate about this problem. We'll never get change!
Well, that's not really true. The role of the members of the municipal council is to listen to the people in the city and address concerning issues with the rest of the municipal council. That means that we could always talk to our local councillor and tell him about our city's poor public transportation system.
