- Adjoa is a girl who was born in Hasodzi, Ghana.In the exposition, she talks about how hard it is to get her nana's attention, and when she does get it, her nana either laughs at her, or scolds her, telling her to never repeat what she just said., she would either, still in that voice, ask me “never, never, but NEVER to repeat THAT,” or she would immediately burst out laughing.

- In the falling action, Adjoa explains how her Nana finally started to support her, ironing her school uniform over and over and getting her clean clothes everyday. she even went to Mr. Mensah’s house and borrowed his charcoalpressing iron. Each time she came back home with it and ironedand ironed and ironed the uniform, until, if I had been the uniform,I would have said aloud that I had had enough.
- In the resolution, Adjoa wins every race for her school, and she won the best round junior athlete cup.
