- The Baudelaire mansion was caught on a massive fire. It was gray and cloudy when the fire occurred. The children were not at home and instead were at briny beach when the fire burned their house.
- The children had become orphans and were adopted by a relative because their parent also died during the fire. The Baudelaire children were living in a tiny house and no books to read or go to school
- The children started living with Count Olaf and were supposed to do chores for him and one day he asked them to make dinner for his theater troupe. The Baudelaire children didn't know how to cook and used a cookbook.
- Count Olaf slapped Klaus because they didn't cook roast beef, The reason why they didn't make roast beef was because he didn't mention that he wanted them to cook roast beef. The children were sad and were scared because he was really angry and he hurt the children.
- Violet is marrying Count Olaf because he has Sunny locked in a big tower and could drop her off if she does not obey him. The reason why Count Olaf wants to marry Violet is because she has a big fortune which she will be inheriting when she is of age. Violet and Klaus want to tell people that it is not a show but it is really happening but no one had time to hear it or wanted to hear it.
- The wedding was over and everybody was upset and sad but Violet actually signed the contract with her left hand instead of the right hand . The law said that the bride should be signing with her dominant hand so Count Olaf and Violet were actually not married. Count Olaf threatened to kill Sunny but Sunny was already at the venue because Count Olaf thought the wedding was actually over so he asked his assistant to bring her over.
