- Professor Snape is shown to be working with Voldemort as he has been notified of a dark task that Voldemort has asked a student at Hogwarts to execute. This student is Draco Malfoy. Draco's mother tries to reason with Snape, asking that he takes pity on Malfoy. but he is persuaded into making the Unbreakable Vow, swearing he will assist, protect, and guide Draco. If he breaks this vow, he dies. 
- Harry Confronts Malfoy about Suspicious activity

- While on their way to Hogwarts on the Hogwarts Express, Harry decided to spy on Malfoy and investigate to see if he was talking about anything to do with Voldemort. When they arrive at Hogwarts, while still on the train, Draco realizes Harry was spying on him, basically beats him up a little bit and then uses a magic spell on him. 
- Harry gets Slughorn's Important Memory
- Please professor, we need you. He must be stopped. 
- Harry is in his potions class, taught by Professor Slughorn, and he has his special book that he coincidentally retrieved, and he knows he has a chance to impress Slughorn. He takes advantage, and uses the unique knowledge given by his book, and is able to make a potion that is almost impossible to brew. This allows Slughorn to see Harry's talent and makes him more intrigued, which is what Dumbledore wanted from Harry. 
- Dumbledore's Death
- Draco starts to feel deeply stressed and nervous, and seems to be going through a lot, and that's when Harry confronted him. Harry confronted him about how Malfoy cursed a girl with evil magic. Draco just doesn't even know what to say and one thing leads to another and they start using their wands as they cast constant spells at each other, fighting in the bathroom. 
- Harry sits down with professor Slughorn and begins to talk to him about his mother, Lily, who was murdered by Voldemort, and how she an excellent student of Slughorn's and that in order to avenge her he needed to help. Harry and Dumbledore needed a memory of Slughorn's that shows what Voldemort did to become immortal and how to make him mortal again. Harry eventually persuades Slughorn into giving it up.
- Please don't think badly of me when you see it. 
- At the end of the book, Professor Dumbledore is murdered, and Harry, along with everyone else is deeply shocked. He was killed by Snape after Draco could not go through with the task.
