- Well first, you'll place an initial amount of money. The amount placed depends on the type of account After that, you'll keep adding more money periodically so your savings can grow with that along with interest!

- Only depending on the type of account you have. Even still, this account should be reserved for special spending, like goals or emergencies. Everyday spending is what your checking account is for.

- Savings will be for things like goals or emergencies which can get pricy so you typically want to same 3-6 months worth of your monthly expenses
