- In March 1906, a distant roar was heard by farmers performing their daily plow. It was a crowd, singing hymns and asking others to join them. An intensely packed throng was seen, filled by peasents. Peter the Hermit had been calling christians to free Jerusalem. This began the crusades.
- ALL "soldiers of Christ", report to me to defend Constantinople and liberate Jerusalem from the Turks!
- Jerusalem is finally mine again! Although, I still have respect for everyone including my enemies
- In 1096, Pope Urban (the second) called the soldiers of Christ to defend Constantinople and liberate Jerusalem from the Turks. Pope was pleased with the response. Soldiers responded with indulgence and enthusiasm. They're slogan was "God wilts it!" 
- Peter the Hermit called many people to fight for the first crusade. This included men, women, and children! Sadly, most died but the first crusade was pronounced succesful.
- we're ready for battle!
- The 2nd crusade was led out by King Louis. His wife joined the crusade as well. But because of lack of communication and disrespect to local support, the second crusade failed. This led the Muslim leader Saladin to grow stronger.  
- I shall lead out the 2nd crusade!
- Jerusalem was reclaimed by Saladin. The Third crusade began in 1189. Richard 1 was the leader of this crusade. He even developed a indulgent relationship with Saladin.
- Hurry! Loot the area!
- Because of the failed crusades, the crusaders decided to loot the Christian cities. These christian cities were on the route to Jerusalem. Jerusalem was their first plan , but the 4th crusade was considered a "plan B"
