- Dylan and his parents never really saw eye to eye about anything. When he was younger, it was just the simple stuff, but as he got older, there was a lot more they did not agree on like his choice of friends.
- One night when Dylan and his parents had a huge fight, he decided to run away from home. Once everyone had gone to sleep, he gets dressed, packs a bag with his things, and he quietly sneaks inside his parent's room. He quickly goes through his parent's wallets, taking their credit cards and their cash.
- Then he sets out to enjoy himself with all that money. He decided to hop onto a bus heading to one of his friend's houses, which was far away from where he lived.
- Pretty soon, he is enjoying himself, and was doing all the things he wanted to do. He had the best of all that life could give him, and he was one popular guy. A new group of friends, late nights, no school, being able sleeping all day, no parents bothering him, and he also started experimenting with drugs.
- So much was happening that he didn't have time to think of his family. But It didn't take long until the cash was all gone and the credit cards had been blocked. And when that happened Dylan found that his friends also had left him.
- I'm sorry mom and dad for putting you guys through this. I hope you will forgive me.
- He tried to get a job, but with so many people wanting to look for a job, he discovered that it was not easy. With no money, the only place Dylan could find to sleep in was in the park benches. And the only food Dylan had was what he could find in the bins around town.
- One night Dylan spent much time thinking if he should go home or not. He knew how much pain and problems he had caused by what he did. After some time thinking it over, he decided to go home once and for all. He was terrified and nervous about how his parents would react to him coming home after everything he had put them through.
- Once Dylan had arrived at his parent's house, he was more nervous than before. However, he tries to be brave, and he rings the doorbell. His mother opens the door and burst into tears once he saw that his son had finally returned. Dylan asked for their forgiveness, and his parents forgave him for that he is their son whom they will love endlessly, no matter the situation.
- They threw a party to celebrate the return of their lost son, who they thought was dead, is alive again and was lost and is found.
