Our story starts off with Andy being bullied at school for his hair, and the only person that come to his defense is Ruthie, even though she doesn't know him.
*scoff*

It is now Ruthie's first day of middle school, and Andy is trying to reassure her that everything is going to be alright and that he will be there for her.
Oh, hi Ruthie.......

Andy is now starting to fail class, and his parent's don't know. His parents begin to question if he started doing drugs, which would cause him to be too distracted to do his work. What they don't understand is that the reason he is failing is to be with Ruthie during high school.

It is now two weeks before prom, and Andy finally asked Ruthie to prom. He is confused when Ruthie hits him, but it is later revealed that he took to long to ask Ruthie and is now going to prom by himself, as she is going to prom with Jonny.
Andy parked outside of the school parking lot, and decided to wait out prom because he had no date. Ruthie and Jonny then find him in the car and begin to have a conversation on why he is here.
Ruthie and Jonny get into an argument when Jonny calls Andy a na,me.
