- The younger family is a family of five who all live in a very small house. Big Walter who had died not long ago had life insurance and the family is getting a check of $10,000 in the mail. Wakter wants to buy a liquor shop with his colleague so they can be rich.  Beneatha wants to go to medical school with the money.  at the end of the scene Ruth collapses to the ground.
- Climax
- Soon after finding out he is not going to get the money walter storms out of the house. Mama Decides to buy a house with the money and buys a house in an all-white neighborhood. when walter comes back home he finds out that ruth is pregnant.
- Falling action
- After buying the house she gives the remaining money to Walter to safeguard and to make the right choices. soon after buying the home a man called Karl Lindner shows up and tries to buy the house from them. they decline the offer.
- Resolution
- Bobo one of Walter colleague comes to his house saying the person ran of with his money. Ruth and mama Find out that he spent all the money that's left on the liquor store and it was a scam. Ruth and mama Are furious with him.
- Walter call s Linder to try and sell the house to get the money back.  Asagai Arrives and asks beneath to marry him and to move to Nigeria and become a doctor there. Mama thinks that Walter should not sell the house thinking it will destroy him more
- walter decides not to sell the house. they Pack up the house and leave Happy to be moving into a better home for everyone
