Snemalna Knjiga Besedilo

  • The old man lives in the middle of Japan in a little house high up in the mountains.
  • After the Jimmu got the kettle and discovered what I truly was he consulted with his neighbor after catching the Tanuki running around the house. The neighbor advised him to travel and become a rich man
  • Most wonderful transformation that has ever been seen
  • Crowds came and Jimmu would pass around the kettle then take it up to the front and show the transformation. The Tanuki would dance until Jimmu told him to stop. Jimmu was indeed a rich man like his neighbor said he would be.
  • The old man heard a rumbling noise behind him while looking at the view, so he turned around to find a rusty old kettle pot that he never knew was there. The kettle was quick whole so he cleaned it off and took it to his kitchen saying "that was a piece of luck."
  • Thank you, few people would have been as honest.
  • Even though Jimmu was rich, he wasn't happy. He thought he owed some of his wealth to the old man he bought the kettle from. So he put a hundred pieces of gold in it and returned it to the old man.
  • I have no right to keep it any longer. So I have brought it back to you, and inside you will find a hundred gold pieces as the price of its hire.
  • It was written to show that if someone gives you something you should be appreciative of it and return the favor back to them.
  • The Magic Tea Kettle is a Japanese folktale or fairy tale about a raccoon dog, or tanuki, that uses its shapeshifting powers to reward its rescuer for his kindness.
  • Patterns of the Magic Tea Kettle:Fire- when the tea kettle is heated up by fire it shapeshifts into a tanuki. Circles: The whole story is like a circle, it starts with the old man and then ends with the old man having the kettle again.
  • The time period takes place in 1903
