- The Long March would go on to take 368 days and around 78,000 lives. The members of the CCP had to endure many climates and natural hardships such as snow, rain and mud. This is not to mention the nationalist forces themselves. In january 1935 in Zunyi Mao Zedong mustered enough CCP members to be renstated as leader
- When Mao finally reached the soviet boarder he was the undisputed leader (again) of the CCP and he and the remaing 8,000 CCP soldiers were able to rebuild the CCP and eventually retake China as Mao Zedong became the dictator he ws later feared to be.
