- Upon taking Mrs. Hopes case, Lucy and Lockwood accidentally burned down her house. She wasn't happy, and wanted them to pay for damages. Lockwood assumed that DEPRAC (a company in charge of the agencies) would cover it, but instead Lockwood & Co had to produce £60,000 in four weeks.

The only conditions were that the case was notoriously difficult and deadly, and Lockwood & Co had only 48 hours to prepare.
