In April of 2005, Pertina Epps was found underneath a car port. She had been strangled to death, and fingerprints had been left behind. One was found on her purse, that led back to Charles Wright.

In 2022, Charles Wright was convicted of the murder and sexual assault of Pertina Epps, a mother of two children. He had strangled her to death. Charles, 56 was arrested but then released on bond.
