- At the age of seven, spartan boys are taken from their homes to begin military training and placed in communal barracks. the name of their training is agoge. afterwards they went to fight in wars
- We like sculpting, pottery, and architecture in Athens. we are famous for our columns: Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian
- Monarchy: a monarch is a king or a queen that is the sole ruler of a kingdom. When a king or queen can not rule anymore, their children will take the throne, and it will continue that way.
- I can compare and contrast the characteristics of a monarchy, democracy, aristocracy, and oligarchy.
- Aristocracy: in this form of government, the rich people and people higher up on the social scale
- Democracy: pretty much the opposite of a monarchy, every citizen gets to vote on what happens in the community
- Oligarchy: when a small group or people decide how to run a community amongst themselves.
