- Hannah Snowshoe Hare was sitting at the local bar, enjoying lunch with Dylan Dolphin. “Work is a bear,” said Dylan. “You work with a bear?” Hannah asked, puzzled. “No, I said ‘work is a bear’,” Dylan told her. “I need a hobby.”
- "I could be a DJ at the Critter Club. I love music, especially the Beagles and the Stinks. Oh, and Bobcat Dylan, too. I was named after him.”
- “I might want to be a swimming instructor at the local pool. For a dolphin, I’m pretty good at the doggie paddle.”
- “Maybe I’ll volunteer at the Science Center. I’ve always wanted to be a marine biologist.”
- "Yep, even though I’m a dolphin, I never get tired of the ocean. It would be fun to captain cruises around the harbor.”
- “Wow!” Hannah exclaimed, impressed. "But, remember: it doesn’t matter what you are, because I’ll always love you for who you are.”
