Purpose of Education: Perspectives

More homework again. Doesn't your teacher know you have a life outside of school, you have swimming, piano and ballet to attend to!
I just want to do my own thing and hang out with my friends....

What is the purpose of learning how to work out the area of a triangle? When am I ever going to use that in the real world!
I better pay attention this is coming up in the test next week I need to make sure I get a good grade to help my entrance score for university.
Can you believe I now have to teach my PP's about coding, they barely have time to play with all literacy tasks I already have to give them!

I had to scrap my team building activity yesterday with my year 5's to squeeze in the civics lesson. Even though they really need to learn how to get along with others.
