Snemalna Knjiga Besedilo

  • Sure, I can help you. But first, please tell me the definition, formula, scientist who studied it, and real application of Boyle's Law. That way, if you forget something, I can help you.
  • I forgot some of the science lessons that our professor taught us. Could you kindly help me with our topic?
  • Let's start. What is the definition of Boyle's Law?
  • It states that the pressure (P) and volume (V) of a confined gas are inversely proportional to one another, given that the temperature (T) of the system is held constant
  • The formula is P1V1=P2V2, where V1 represents the initial volume, V2 represents the final volume, P1 represents the initial temperature, and P2 represents the final temperature.
  • That's right. Next is, what is the  formula?
  • I forgot.
  • Robert Boyle is the scientist. He performed an experiment wherein he trapped a fixed amount of air in the J-tube, he changed the pressure and controlled the temperature and then, he observed its effect to the volume of the air inside the J-tube. He discovered that increasing the pressure causes a decrease in volume. He finally established that the volume of a fixed amount of gas at constant temperature is inversely related to its pressure.
  • Then, indicate the scientist who studied it.
  • Here are a few examples from what our teacher told us. It is breathing, inflating tires, soda bottle that is filled with a mixture of carbon-di-oxide and water, working of a syringe, and uhm. I completely forgot about the others.
  • Indicate the real application on it for the last one.
  • Spray paints, space suits, scuba diving, and the Cartesian Diver Experiment.
  • Welcome! I'm glad I can help you, so feel free to contact me or message me on social media if you need help.
  • Thank you so much for your help. I hope we can teach each other the next time we meet.
