Snemalna Knjiga Besedilo

  • Hello, my name is Winston Churchill. I was born here in Oxfordshire, England in 1874.
  • I was the elder of two sons. Our parents didn't have a lot of time for us so we had to take care of each other.
  • I was a chunky little boy with a stutter and a lisp. I also did very badly in school.
  • I was said to be annoying for having high spirits and being very stubborn.
  • Today is going to be a great day. I wonder who I should pester today?
  • My first major position was in World War I, when I was appointed First Lord of Admiralty.
  • In between World War I and World War II, I got married and we had three girls, and a boy.
  • Then I was a foot solider and I was sent to Bangalore to fight the Pashtun warriors. I was also there to invade Sudan and lead the charge in the Battle Of Omdurman.
  • When World War II rolled around I was in the front lines on Sept. 3 when Great Britain declared war on Nazi, Germany.
  • I was put back in my position as The First Lord Of Admiralty. Churchill quoted that he had nothing to offer except "Blood, Toil, Tears, and Sweat."
  • I resigned from the Army and ran for Parliament. When the results were posted, I had lost my first election. However in 1900, I was elected to Parliament and I took my seat in the House of Commons in 1901 as a Conserative.
  • I served as Undersecretary of State, President of Board of Trade, and Home Secretary.
  • Then I switched parties and joined the Liberals. Fast forward a few years and I was serving as Prime Minister from 1940- 1945 and again in 1951-1955.
  • Along with Roosevelt and Stalin, Churchill led the Allied Coalition to victory in World War II.
  • After returning from Bangalore, I published a book called, "The Story of the Malakand Field Force" (1898). I also published a book called, "The River War" (1899), based off of the Sudanese campaign.
  • I won the 1953 Nobel Prize in Literature.
  • I died in 1965 at 90 years old in Kensington, London.
