The Great Pyramid of Giza, was estimated to be built in about 2,550 to 2,490 BC. It was once the tallest man-made structure in the world. This structure also tells time, it acted like a giant sundial.
We still don't really know how the pyramids where made. Surprisingly the pyramids where not built by slaves. The people where well fed and paid. Some of the workers where given the privilege to be buried near the pyramids.
The pyramids were not just tombs they had passage ways and were booby trapped, to protect the king from robbers.
