Vaši učenici donose odluke svaki dan, i nadamo se da su svi danas donijeli odluku da dođu na nastavu. Ovo je za njih možda bila "bez odluke"; nekoliko različitih ljudi pobrinu se da budu u školi svaki dan. Postoje dvije druge vrste odluka: brze odluke i razumne odluke. Hoće li podići ruku na satu ili ne, to je „kratka odluka“. Moraju se odlučiti brzo prije nego što netko drugi digne ruku. Ta se odluka obično donosi bez razmišljanja o posljedicama ili ishodima. Raditi domaći zadatak nakon škole ili za vrijeme ručka "razumna je odluka". To je stoga što oni vagaju njihove mogućnosti i biraju najbolji mogući ishod. Trebam li raditi domaću zadaću u školi dok jedem kako bih kasnije mogao pogledati film ili to uraditi noću nakon večere kod kuće?
U ovoj će aktivnosti učenici stvoriti ploču s knjigama koja prikazuje tri vrste odluka. Stvaranje vizualizacija pomoći će učenicima da uspostave vezu sa sadržajem i zadrže informacije. Ako od njih zatražite da prikažu odluke koje su donijeli danas ili posljednjih nekoliko dana, aktivnost će pojačati još jedan cilj učenja. Činjenica da oni svakodnevno donose odluke može olakšati pritisak i dati im povjerenje u donošenje takvih posljedica odluka, poput prijava za koledže ili odbijanja pritiska vršnjaka.

- Stvorite sliku nedavne odluke koju ste donijeli u ćeliji koristeći kombinaciju odgovarajućih scena, likova i predmeta.
