  • Each month, the female reproductive system prepares for a possible pregnancy by producing a mature egg cell.
  • TERM

  • DEFINITION

  • Muscular canal that leads from the outside of the body to the uterus. Sperm cells enter through the vagina.

  • Produce a fluid rich in sugars that sperm use for energy.

  • Passageway leads ovum from the ovary to the uterus.
  • VAS DEFERENS
  • Long tube that connects the epididymis to the urethra. This is the path for sperm cells.
  • UTERUS
  • Hollow, muscular organ which is the size of child development during pregnancy.
  • URETHRA
  • Sperm and urine leave the body by passing through this tube.
  • PROSTATE
  • Secretes an alkaline (basic) fluid that neutralizes the acids in the female reproductive system.
  • EPIDIDYMIS
  • After being produced in the testies, sperm travel to the here, where they mature
