Komunikācija ir viens no veselīgu attiecību galvenajiem komponentiem. Diemžēl pusaudžiem tā parasti nav viņu spēcīgākā prasme. Studentiem var būt grūti padomāt par to, ko viņi saka, pirms viņi to pasaka. Mainīt teikto var būt grūti, bet mācīt pusaudžiem pateikt, ko viņi domā, ir reāls mērķis. Viens veids, kā to izdarīt, ir “I paziņojumu” ieviešana.
Kad kāds mēģina saprast savu viedokli un runātājs saka “jūs to darāt” vai “jūs to sakāt”, tas liek klausītājam būt nepareizam. Pēc tam klausītājs dodas aizsardzībā un bieži izšauj. Tas nav efektīvs saziņas veids. Vienkārši mainot saziņu pret sevi “es domāju ...”, “es jūtu ...” un “es gribu…”, klausītājs pēc tam dzird, ko viņu darbības dara otrai personai. Šajā nodarbībā studenti izmantos I ... paziņojumus, lai efektīvi sazinātos paredzētajā scenārijā. Lai nodrošinātu pozitīvu iznākumu, viņiem jāpabeidz scenārijs un izšķirtspēja. Vienīgās šūnas, kuras studenti izveidos, ir I paziņojumi. Iepriekš redzamais sižeta panelis tiks kopēts jūsu kontā, kad noklikšķināsit uz “Izmantot šo uzdevumu”, un jūs varēsit to pielāgot un pievienot kā veidni studentiem kopēšanai.
