Wat is het Jodendom?

Het jodendom is een van de oudste continu beoefende religies ter wereld en is ongeveer 4.000 jaar geleden begonnen. Tegenwoordig wordt het jodendom wereldwijd door ongeveer 15 miljoen mensen beoefend. Deze oude religie was de eerste die monotheïstisch was (geloven in één God) en is de wortel van de twee grootste religies van vandaag, het christendom en de islam.
Sikhisme: Geschiedenis en Tradities

Sikhisme wordt beoefend door ongeveer 26 miljoen mensen en is de vijfde grootste religie ter wereld. Het woord Sikh in het Punjabi betekent discipel van God. Een volgeling van het Sikhisme aanbidt één God en streeft naar een vreedzaam leven van eerlijkheid, naastenliefde, gelijkheid en geloof.

Het christendom wordt wereldwijd door ongeveer 2,4 miljard mensen beoefend, waardoor het de grootste religie ter wereld is. Christenen geloven in het leven en de leringen van Jezus Christus, van wie zij geloven dat hij de Messias of verlosser is voor de hele mensheid. Jezus' leringen waren gericht op liefde, vergeving, vrede en hoop.
