- Two households, both alike in dignity, in fair Verona, where we lay our scene, these two households each hold something special. A pair of star-cross'd lovers who take their life
- Climax
- Romeo and Juliet fall in love at a party thrown by Juliet's family. They learn that their families are sworn enemies and they cannot be together. The two of them decide to get married secretly.

- When Juliet's cousin Tybalt finds out Romeo and his friends went to the Capulet party, he is very mad. He comes to find them, but he ends up killing Romeo's best friend Mercutio. Romeo incites his revenge by killing Tybalt.

- I'm fine, tis' just a scratch.
- After killing Tybalt Romeo is exiled. He comes back to find Juliet in her family's tomb. He kills his rival for Juliet's hand Paris while he is there.
- Juliet was not dead, she was just asleep, because Friar Laurence gave her a potion so she could run away with Romeo. Romeo kills himself and he is followed by Juliet.
- Prince Escalus of Verona condemns both families for allowing this to happen to the two young lovers
