- The United States attempted to further its influence in the world, instituting organizations like the UN and the World Bank, and also by rebuilding Europe with the Marshall plan.

- After WW2 , the US was in a Unique Position to be able to reformat the world economy and shape the world.
- What should we do with our economic situation since it's better than other countries?
- The US called it the Marshall Plan, and it had the benefit of rebuilding war torn countries, which aided their economies, but also helped the US push it's goals to strengthen it's trading partners and influence on the world stage. It also aided in preventing the spread of Communism.
- How about we create something where we dump money into the European Economy?
- Now, We can rebuild our country, and also continue to trade more once we have rebuilt industry!
- Smart Idea! Then we can ensure other countries can exchange currency for the US dollar instead of gold, ensuring American economic dominance!
- We should also create other institutions like the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank. We also should hold the Breton Woods Conference. All of this will aid us in ensuring that we maintain our influence in the world, and create a stable monetary system.
- The Cold war also started to ramp up, so the US kept building more weapons after the war to out do the USSR, pumping more and more money into the economy.
- Although the war is finished, we're going to keep arming our country to ensure that we can beat the Communists, which means that people like you will still have jobs!
- The US also supplied weapons to foreign countries who were Anti-Communist, keeping the wartime economy afloat back in the US since the goods were American made, while also protecting their influence.
- Great! Now I can have more disposable income with my job!
- We can supply you with weapons if you remain an anticommunist country and aid us in protecting US interests
- Sure, now I can have power regionally as well!
