  • Police Brutality is the act of police abusing power and inflicting pain on civilians
  • There is a common pattern in police brutality based on race, ethnicity, religion, and many other.
  • Back in May of 2020, Minneapolis Officer Derek Chauvin, was called up by a corner store employee after a customer named George Floyd, passed a counterfeit $20 bill to a cashier. Floyd was forced out of his vehicle and man handled by 4 police officers into the back of their car.
  • Then Officer Derek Chauvin forced Floyd out of the car and onto the road and knelt on his neck. Floyd was begging Chauvin to stop after repeated cried of not being able to breath, but Chauvin ignored him. George Floyd died after 8 minutes and 46 seconds of Chauvin on his neck.
  •  That summer, America fell into a state of chaos. If Covid-19 wasn't already a worldwide problem, the death of George Floyd was. The days and nights were filled with rioting, looting and the people going against the police. This one death wasn't what sparked a revolution though, there are hundreds of other cases of police brutality that include Breonna Taylor, Eric Garner, and Kalief Browder. That more we will get into
