Community Involvement
Students at OCU that are motivated to learn more about leadership and servant opportunities can attend church to find out information. From small groups, children's ministry, and music ministry students are welcomed to participate and join in fostering spiritual and personal growth. These experiences will improve OCU students' leadership skills and grow closer to God.

Commitment and determination to serve God first
Academic and athletic organizations are a great way for OCU students to learn leadership skills to make oneself a better leader and team player. These are important skills in academics, athletics, and workplace environments. OCU recognizes athletes that demonstrate integrity and sportsmanship with the Champions of Character Award.
Classroom Activities and Projects
OCU holds a Community Action Day and collaborates with many other non-profit charities to give back and serve those in need. Students can volunteer wherever they wish to and deliver servant leadership to the community. Community service and involvement teaches students the importance of planning, motivation, and communication skills necessary to be a successful leader and prepare them for work life.

OCU offers students courses that concentrate on leadership to improve their skills and learn techniques to prepare them for servant leadership positions. This opportunity encourages students to enhances their critical and strategic thinking skills and leadership skills to create better leaders.
In the courses provided at OCU, students are given the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively as a group. Group activities are a great way for leaders to shine and delegate tasks while helping others find what they need. It's a unique method for classmates to share ideas and increase productivity and creativity. In these projects, leaders can recognize their strengths and weaknesses.

OCU has student-led clubs and organizations designed to reach out to students and meet their needs. There is Awaken Ministries and much more for students to participate in and lead others to Christ. These groups help students engage in things they are passionate about, meet new people, and make connections with everyone.
