- Hey your gonna be coughing a lot more because of the minerals. Are you sure you don't want to turn back?

- Climax w/ External Conflict
- As we reached the end of the catacombs Montresor asked me again if we should go up, but I ignored him.
- Falling Action
- Okay funny joke. Now stop playing
- We got to a point where there was this sort of broke down wall, and he said that the Amontillado was in there. I went in but there was nothing in there. Instead he pushed me.
- Falling Action w/ Situational Irony
- Why are you doing this!?
- He started to chain me up. I thought this was some sort of weird, twisted joke he was playing. Then he pulled out his trowel and started to build a wall around the wall. WITH ME IN IT!
- Resolution w/ Theme
- At this point I realized that he wasn't playing a game anymore. I tried everything I could to get myself out, but I was drunk and weak.
- I asked him why he was doing this, but he would never answer me. He just kept quiet. Until he finally answered me. He mentioned the time I bought the downtown area. Apparently his family lived there and I forced them out. They had to live on the streets in the middle of winter. He said they froze to death a week later.
- Do you remember when you bought the downtown area? You made EVERYONE and their families lose their homes! Including mine.
- I'll spend my life in here questioning what I could have done. What I could've done differently for a better outcome. Maybe in the next life I can learn how to think about how my actions will affect others. I spent my life trying to benefit my family, but I've destroyed his. May I find peace in death.
- You took my family from me. Now I will take yours from you.
