  • Clothes are made of fabric, these fabric are made of yarn and this yarn is made of fibre. Let Me Explain.
  • What are clothes made of?
  • I understood everything but I have a doubt. Which fibres are better- Natural or Synthetic?
  • Fibres are divided into 2 categories- Natural and Synthetic Fibres. Natural Fibres made from plants and animals like silk, wool, cotton and jute. Synthetic Fibres are fibres made of chemicals like nylon and rayon.
  • We want to know more about cotton.
  • Natural Fibres are better because they are a good absorbent, eco-friendly, has natural colours and are very comfortable
  • A cotton is a bushy plant of 5-6 feet height with three lobed green leaves.Mostly grown in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Andra Pradesh , Telangana, Rajasthan, Punjab & Haryana.​​
  • Steps involved in making cotton: 1. Ginning- separating cotton from cotton seed 2. The process of making yarn from fibre is called spinning.​ 3.Making Fabric by Weaving or Knitting
