  • While Simon was waiting for his boat to take him back to Britain, Simon explains to the family, Simon explains, "I heard patrol coming, so I decided to try and make it on my own, but at some point I took a wrong turn. When i doubled back that's when they found me. (Gratz 212)"

Simon puled his hand away from his stomach and his shirt and hand was covered in blood (Gratz 213)."
