- George and Lennie's dream of owning a farm that would offer them shielding from the world describes an American Dream. Their journey to the dream sadly didn't happen and proves that not everything even the possibility is achievable.
- Curley's wife tells Lennie that her wish was to be a movie star but she got into an unfulfilling marriage, her mom didn't let her become an actor. This example is also an American Dream because Curley's wife had dreamed of unaffected happiness and freedom.
- Candy and Crooks are asked to be involved in George and Lennie's dream for a way to get out of their miserable lives They want George's and Lennie's dreams as an opportunity and also want to reach happiness. Sadly their dreams didn't become a reality and didn't reach their happiness.
