In about 2500 B.C. a civilization emerged, the Indus valley civilization. We live on the Indus river.
What were the cities/houses like?
The houses and buildings were made out of mud bricks for strong buildings.
Each city/house in the indus civilization were laid out on a grid pattern, with rectangular blocks.
Waste water flowed out of the house threw pipes into street drains.
Houses had baths, drains that lead into sears beneath the streets.
The Great bath was used for religious practice but sometimes people would bath in it.
The Great bath is the earliest public water tank in the ancient world.
The writing at the top of seals is there form of writing.
Each seal has an animal and writing on it that is carved with a copper tool.
The traders sometimes traded seals with other people.
They carry cotton,cloth,grain,copper,and pearls in their boats.
