- There are 2 variant individuals living in the desert. The variants are black and brown mice.
- There are more black mice than brown mice in the desert.
- Eagle comes and preys on black mice. Brown mice adapt to the environment by being able to camouflage with the desert that is brown.
- Brown mice reproduce more than black mice. Brown mice pass their traits to their offspring.
- From the natural selection that brown is able to adapt to the environment, it appears to be fewer black mice. Brown mice appear to have higher fitness.
- The Successful variants start to reproduce over generations proving that there was evolution making there be more brown fur in the gene pool.
