- Squeaky and Raymond enjoy taking runs through town.Squeaky explains how she has to look after him because he is unable to take care of himself. She also says that she doesn't loose a race and she is a running champion.
- climax
- Squeaky saw that Gretchen and her minions were going to make fun of Raymond so before they could she hit them harder (this goes into page three as well but i just put it for page two).
- Falling action
- Squeaky talks about how shamed her mother is that Squeaky doesn't act like a girl should. She says, "I do not dance on my toes. I run. That's what I'm all about."
- Resolution
- Mr. Pearson says to Squeaky, "well, Hazel Elizabeth Deborah Parker, going to give someone else a break this year?" Meaning giving someone else a chance to win. Making her mad.
- Squeaky sees Raymond running behind the fence, and she almost stops to watch him. She also won first place in the race beating Gretchen by a hair. Squeaky was happy not because she won because she realized how amazing Raymond really was.
- Squeaky realized just how good Raymond as a runner and was proud of him. She also thought about running her own track team and having Gretchen help also to coach the team. Gretchen also congratulated Squeaky.
