- One day a boy was wandering through the city and notices a tall building. He wanted to know how far away the top point of the building is from the ground. He knows and A is 32 degrees, and the hypotenuse is 23. He calculates sin(32)=x/23 and finds that from the top to the bottom is 11.9meters

- As the boy is walking he spots an airplane. He wants to know what the incline from him to the plane is. He knows the angle is 42 degrees and the adjacent side from the angle is 19. He uses cosine to find the incline. Cos(42)=19/x. He finds out the incline is 25.6m

- The boy stops and takes a seat on the bench. As hes looking around he notices a light pole. He want to know the length from the top of the light pole to the bottom. He knows the angle is 14 degrees and the adjacent side of the angle is 22.

- The boy figures out he has to use tangent to solve the problem. He comes up witht the equation tan(14)=x/22. He then multiplies both sides by 22, 22(tan14)=22(x/22). The 22 then cancles out and he gets, 22(tan14)=x. FInally he solvs the equation and figures out the lenght from the top to the bottom of the pole is 5.28m
