- A mongoose named Rikki Tikki Tavi gets washed away due to a flood. A family finds him, and decides to take him home
- I dont think so, let's take it home.
- Is he dead?
- Rikki Tikki goes into the garden and meets Darzee, who cires out loud tha this eggs got eated by the huge cobra Nag. Rikki Tikki is confused as he does not know who Nag, suddenly a huge creature booms, saying that he is Nag. He tries to fight him, but he realizes that he is too big to get a good hold on him, and he retreats into the house.
- In the night, Rikki Tikki overhears Nag and Nagaina talking about killing Teddy, the human's son. Rikki Tikki waits all night, and when Nag comes out, they have a battle, which Rikki Tikki wins, and kills Nag. Later, the human comes in the bathrroom because of the noise, and shoots the snake in half
- Nagaina is mouring Nag's death while Darzee's wife, fakes a broken wing, and she chases her. This is a distraction as Rikki Tikki is killing Nagaina's eggs in the melonbed. As Nagaina swooops in to kill darzee's wife, Rikki has brought Nagaina's last egg to save Darzee's wife
- As Nagaina sees the egg, she leaps toward Rikki Tikki. They fight, and he leads Nagaina into a hole/ditch where he wins.
- Because Nagaina is defeated, she runs away from the garden. Later, Rikki Tikki destroys the last egg, and they are happy.
