  • Carla has been a loyal fan of Dixie Damelio for 5 years now. She is always in the know of Dixie's relationship status, whereabouts and even where she gets her daily coffee. One time, Dixie responded to one of Carla's Instagram comments on her post - little does Carla know it was actually Dixie's manager commenting on behalf of her... this is strictly a PARASOCIAL relationship but Carla is what we call a superfan and is sort-of "brainwashed" by the celebrity fan/friendship narrative.
  •
  • I am SO excited to see Dixie tonight! We bought these tickets 14 months ago!!
  • While waiting in line for the concert to begin, Carla and Bianca have a conversation about Dixie's ex-boyfriend Noah - Dixie has created the narrative of having a terrible relationship with Noah and Carla now feels empathetic towards Dixie's struggles, but once again, little does she know - Dixie didn't share the ENTIRE relationship story, she carefully picks what she decides to reveal to her fans - she wants an appearance of vulnerability - Celebrities love attention, and drama drives attention to them which is perfect for their ego and presense in the fame world. This is called an "attention capital". Celebrities have lots of knowledge on how to maximize this to their benefit.
  • OMG I can't believe Dixie's ex Noah!! Appearently he cheated and then dumped her, I feel so bad for her
  • Are you sure that's even true? You just heard that on a gossip website
  • While on stage Dixie decides to personally thank her fans for coming to the show and showing their support, we have to remember she is speaking out to hundreds of people, but makes it seem like she is speaking personally to only one of her fans- celebrites know how to reproduce "conversational" and "face-to-face" tones and mannerisms, fans love this because it makes them feel special and heard by their favourite celebrity - while Dixie may feel gratitude she will never be able to personally thank every one of her fans, but she can mimic it and that isn't entirely real.
  • Thank you soooo much for coming out tonight, YOUR support means the world tonight. I love YOU!
  • When someone in the crowd 'boo's' Dixie's preformance, Carla gets defensive, and starts yelling at this hater. This is seen often on social media as well - when a celebrity is getting bashed or hated on for whatever reason, superfans become oddly vicious in defending their celebrity. They often forget that they don't actually know this celebrity and the celebrity definitely doesn't know them, but the drive to prove that they care and are in support of said celebrity outweighs the fact they are really just a figment and most likely will not thank you for your defense. A lot of celebrities have actually advised their fans against fighting with trolls. Dixie didn't even notice the boo and went on with the rest of her preformance.
  • BOOOOOOO!!!
  • Don't you DARE hate on Dixie! GTFO of here you TROLL!!!
  • When Carla and Bianca arrive home from the concert, Carla expresses feelings of insecurity because she wishes she looked how Dixie looked on stage and she wants to get a nose job, Bianca cannot believe this and reminds Carla that Dixie has a whole hair and makeup team that makes her look practically flawless and its not real. It is more common than not for fans to become so infactuated with a celebrity they start to want to be exactly like them. Celebrities know how to present themselves and their lives to look perfect, it "brainwashes" us once again to thinking it is normal and natural to look and live like a celebrity, when it might not even be real for the celebrity themselves.
  • You know its all fake right?
  • I wish I looked like Dixie.
  • I wonder if she'll ever realize how much she means to me...
  • When Carla is alone she decides to tweet @DixieDamelio on Twitter and thank her for the concert and tell her how beautiful she thinks she is and how much she loves her. Dixie never responded and probably never will. Carla and millions of others will keep trying to get her attention, the cycle will continue and Dixie will continue to get more and more famous. The End.
