- Im ready to infect a body and cells!
- Haha we have an easy way in now!
- The Pathogen
- This was so easy the cell is now infected by us the dangerous pathogens!
- I am the macrophage and will clean up this mess
- The pathogen gets past the first line of defence, the skin and uses an open wound to enter the body. It has now entered the body and bloodstream and is multiplying throughout thee body.
- And I am the killer T cell ready to attack the pathogens
- I called you guys as soon as i found out!
- You are never getting away with this again. I WILL remember you!
- The pathogens get past the second line of defence - the macrophage, which is patrolling the area for anything that doesn't belong.
- The pathogens get into the cell and are ready to infect. The cell is not infected
- A helper T cell comes to help from the third line of defence and identifies the pathogen in the already infected cell and calls for more help from the Killer T cell to attack it. It also calls the macrophage from the second line of defence to come and take care and clean up of the pathogens.
- B cells then come and produce memory cells that will remember the pathogen for a quicker response next time.
