- In 1948, the world health organization made a controversial announcement
- On behalf of the world health organization I officially declare Obesity as a disease !
- In 1950 the obesity medicine was established! Our goal was to educate people on why obesity is a disease !
- The majority of the public was unaccepting of this declaration
- OBESITY IS A CHOICE
- they're not diseased they're just fat!
- There was lots of resistance from the public and even parts of the medical community !
- Hi ! I'm DOCTOR SUSAN! I work on behalf of the obesity medicine association. I'm a made up person but the association I work for is real !
- Obesity is chronic, relapsing, multi-factorial, neurobehavioral disease, wherein an increase in body fat promotes adipose tissue dysfunction and abnormal fat mass physical forces, resulting in adverse metabolic, biomechanical, and psychosocial health consequences
- OBESITY FACTSObesity can lead to MANY deadly diseases such as cancers, cardio vascular disease, and type 2 diabetesObesity is not just a choice !It can be caused by genetics, the environment, and many other factors INCLUING THE ECONOMY !

- Despite the doctor Susan and the obesity medicine society's efforts, many members of society were ignoring them
- Obesity is NOT a disease its a personal Choice !
- The obesity medicine society is wrong about all of it
- It is a personal choice, calling it a disease is just discrimination !
- Even Medical Professionals were ignoring them and saying obesity is not a disease.
- the TRUTH is your organization is miss informed, you're wasting your time and everyone else's
- We are just trying to tell people the TRUTHOBESITY IS A DISEASE
- 2013 - American Medical Association declares obesity a DISEASE
- 2017 - Many other Countries Medical Associations declare obesity a DISEASE
- After all the obesity society's hard work, many other organizations started to recognize obesity as a serious disease
- 1999- CDC declares obesity an EPIDEMIC
- After all our hard work, obesity is now regarded as a serious issue we need to solve ! But we're not done! We will continue to advocate for obesity, and fun research until everyone takes this seriously !
