- 494 BCERise of the Roman RepublicIm Richard and Im a Plebeian.And this is the Rise of the Roman Republic in a Plebeians perpective.

- The story took a dramaic turn in the year 494 BC. We, The Plebeians because of our lack of power we marched out of the city. All of us camped on a nearby hill and refuesed to go back to the city. Because of our exit , it put Rome in a crisis.
- NEW LAWS!!!!
- In the year 451 BCE we gained very important rights.We could create a lawmaking body, the Council of Plebs. The laws were published on tablets called the Twelve Tables. we conducted a series of protests to gradually win political equality. "Yay!! we got rights!!"

- in 287 B.C.E. We earned the rights to pass laws for all Roman citizens. Assemblies of all Roman citizens, they could approve or reject laws. Our assemblies also nominated the consuls and the members of the Senate. The people could vote on the laws that the city had to follow.
- in 367 B.C.E., a new law stated that one of the two consuls must be one of us. Former consuls held seats in the Senate, so this change also allowed us to become senators.We gained political equality and could do most things.The laws were changed for that we could have as much freedom as the Particians.
- In 509 B.C.E. we made up half of the whole Roman population. We were divided into 2 groups, Plebeians and Patricians. We were mostly peasants,laboreres,crafts people and shoekeepers. We couldnt be priests or goverment officials, we had a smaller voice in the government but we were still forced to serve in the army.
