  • Bob was trying to drown Ponyboy. Johnny pulled out his knife and stabbed bob in the chest and killed him.

  • Ponyboy wakes up in the church with a note from Johnny saying he is gone to get supplies. When he returns he comes back with bologna, cigarettes and bread and a book he wanted Ponyboy to read to him.

  • Johnny Shocks Dally by telling him he wants to go back home and confess his crime.

  • Reporters come into the room and ask him questions on the church fire?
  • Two bit and Ponyboy go to see Johnny in the hospital but he is in critical condition.
  • There planing for the big brawl that is gonna end the fight
  • At home Ponyboy finds all the Greaser sitting in the living room. When he tells them that Johnny died dally has a break down he robs a gas station, raises an unloaded gun at the cops and they shot him dead.
  • Pony boy wakes up from a concussion and he finds a picture of bob in soda's school year book which made him sad because he remembers bob smile.
  • After the hearing Ponyboy becomes detached and depressed his grades suffer.He has memory loss and no appetite. He loses coordination but he resumes fighting people with Darry because he doesn't care.
